Do You Need a Minimum Order?
Some methods have a minimum, some don’t. Here are TeeRabbit’s low per-method minimums — and how you can still order as few as one.

A lot of print shops make you order 24 or even 50 shirts to place an order at all. At TeeRabbit the minimums are low — and one method, DTF, has none at all, so you can order as few as one. Here is the full picture, method by method.
The minimums, method by method
Minimums exist to cover setup, so they track how much setup each method needs. Here is where TeeRabbit lands — and there is never a setup fee on top:
- DTF — no minimum. Order a single custom piece.
- DTG — 6 pieces. Great for small, detailed batches.
- Embroidery — 6 pieces. Priced by stitch count, so small runs stay affordable.
- Vinyl (names & numbers) — 12 pieces, usually added to a team order.
- Screen printing — 36 pieces, and cheaper per shirt the more you add.
The right method for your quantity
Whatever your quantity, there is a method that fits:
- 1 piece → DTF, the only no-minimum option.
- 6–11 pieces → DTF, or DTG and embroidery at their 6-piece minimum.
- 12–35 pieces → all of the above, plus vinyl names and numbers.
- 36+ pieces → screen printing becomes the most economical per shirt.
Why this is good news
Low minimums mean you are rarely forced to over-order. Want to test a design before a big run? Order a single DTF sample. Need exactly 8 staff shirts? DTG or embroidery has you covered. We will always match the method to the quantity you actually need.
- DTF has no minimum; DTG and embroidery start at 6, vinyl at 12, screen printing at 36.
- No setup fees on any method — you only pay for what you order.
- Order a single DTF sample before committing to a big run.
- There is a method that fits almost any quantity.
Quick answers.
Is there a minimum order for custom shirts?
It depends on the method. DTF has no minimum, DTG and embroidery start at 6 pieces, vinyl at 12, and screen printing at 36 — always with no setup fees.
Can I order just one custom shirt?
Yes — order it with DTF, our only no-minimum method. It is ideal for single custom pieces and small runs since there are no screens to set up.
Can I order a sample before a big run?
Absolutely — a single DTF sample is a smart way to check a design before committing to a larger screen-printing run.
