How glow-in-the-dark ink works
The ink carries phosphorescent pigments that “charge” under any light source — sunlight, room light, or a phone flashlight — and then emit a green-tinted glow for a stretch of time in the dark, fading gradually until it’s charged again. The more light it soaks up, the brighter and longer it glows.
Because the pigment is naturally pale, the printed area looks off-white or faintly tinted in daylight. That’s why it’s often printed under a normal ink layer, so the design reads one way in the light and reveals the glow in the dark.

How long does the glow last?
After a good charge under bright light, the glow is strongest for the first several minutes and fades gradually over a longer stretch in the dark. Recharge it under any light and it glows again — there’s no limit to how many times.
What color does it glow?
The classic phosphorescent glow is green, which holds and emits light best. Other glow tints exist but are dimmer; we’ll set expectations based on the look you want.
Can you hide the glow under a normal print?
Yes — that’s a favorite trick. The shirt looks like a standard design in daylight, then the glow layer reveals a hidden element once the lights drop.
